The Vilas County Economic Development Committee is charged with overseeing economic development issues in the county and making recommendations to the County Board. The committee was formed in May, 2008.
In an effort to build a county-wide economic development plan that meets the needs of all communities in Vilas County, the Economic Development Committee is interested in having conversations with all officials and groups in the county who are interested in economic development. Please contact the UW-Extension office at the 715-479-3648 if you are interested in hosting a community conversation about economic development.
Economic Development Committee meetings are held at 9:00 a.m. on the first Monday of each month at the Courthouse in Eagle River, in Conference Room 1 or 2 on the ground level floor. All meetings are open to the public and interested citizens are encouraged to attend. Anyone wishing space on the committee agenda should contact the UW-Extension office at least one week prior to the next meeting date.
